My Role
Built the full-stack travel booking platform using Vue.js for the frontend and Laravel for the backend with REST API integration. Developed the multi-service booking engine, the circuit creation tool for personalised itineraries, and the real-time availability system connecting with local Tunisian tourism providers.
Challenges & Solutions
The primary challenge was building a unified booking engine capable of handling multiple service types—hotels, restaurants, flights, events, and transport—within a single transaction flow while maintaining real-time availability synchronization with diverse local provider systems. This was solved by designing an abstraction layer in Laravel that standardises provider responses and implements a queue-based confirmation system to handle booking atomicity across services.
