My Role
Built the full-stack job board platform using Vue.js for the frontend and Laravel with MySQL for the backend. Developed the multi-criteria search engine, the employer job posting and management system, and the candidate profile and application tracking features tailored to the hospitality sector.
Challenges & Solutions
The primary challenge was designing a flexible search system that could handle the diverse sub-sectors within hospitality—from hotel management to food safety certification—while providing relevant results for both employers and candidates. This was addressed by implementing a Laravel Scout-powered full-text search with custom analyser tokens for hospitality-specific terminology and a faceted filtering system built with Vue.js reactive components.
